As a college kid, as a computer nerd, and as a someone living in the modern world, my life is hectic. As is all the stuff in it. So I'm always looking for ways to try and find organization for the mass amounts of stuff I own. From now own I'll be trying to show you some of the best simple ways that I've discovered to clean up and organize my room and my life.
Starting with an awesome computer tip. We of the nerd variety know our computer desks tend to generate several power strips worth of cords in a very short time. I personally probably have about 25-30 cords coming out of the back of my desk right now. The clutter is so thick from them all that birds could use as a nest. After vetoing several crappy solutions, I came to an epiphany about what to do to keep all these cords wrapped up and out of my damn way.
Now, this might not be too aesthetically pleasing, but it does works better than anything else. I call it, in all its ridiculous-sounding glory: The Electric Fence.
Step 1) Buy incredibly cheap piece of trestle fence to fit the width of your desk.
Step 2) Nail said piece of fence to the back of your desk.
Step 3) Intertwine all your cords from their respective devices through the fence to the various power strips you'll be using.
Organization at its best! No more hassle! No more tangle! Here's an example what mine looked like well over a year ago before I added even MORE cords!
Look forward to more tips like this in the future!
